St. Cuthbert’s Mission

Welcome! See below for more pictures!

St. Cuthbert’s Mission: A piece of nature preserved.

Note: St. Cuthbert’s Mission is also known as Pakuri Village.

In the beginning, God placed man in a beautiful garden. This was the original design, and deep down in his soul, man longs to return to a natural environment.

For someone like myself, an overworked executive, often facing exhaustion, my mind saturated with the noises and stress of the industrial world, I sometimes long to get away from it all, at least for a few days.

And that is exactly what St. Cuthbert’s Mission is. Located about two miles off a detour from the Linden/Soesdyke Highway, this garden paradise will give you sense of peace, tranquility and relaxation.

St. Cuthbert’s Mission takes you back in time as you observe the beauty of an environment as nature intended it, listen to the sounds of birds and other animals, observe the natural vegetation and plant life, and so many things that cannot be replicated by the hand of man.

I’m not saying that modern civilization and industrialism isn’t good. It’s good and necessary. But it is someone like myself, fitted out with the responsibility of designing, innovating and developing – someone so heavily immersed in the world of industry and commerce – who would appreciate the peace and tranquility of a nature resort such as St. Cuthbert’s Mission.

It is my dream that the residents of this community would find the development and advancement they wish for, but at the same time preserve the wonders of nature at the heart of it all.
