In an interview with this publication, Guyanese herbalist, Nicholas Foo, shares his knowledge of the seed borne by the moringa tree – a tropical plant most prolific throughout India but which also grows in Africa, South America, and other parts of the world.
Mr. Foo, a resident of the Rupununi Savannahs of Guyana, related that he has successfully treated and cured a variety of human ailments using moringa seeds.
When you open the dry pods borne by the moringa tree, you find about 5 seeds. The seeds are made up of a black outer shell which must be broken to get the inner part which contains the medicinal value.
According to Mr. Nicholas Foo, you can use moringa seeds for an energy boost and immune system support by chewing one seed after breakfast and lunch. The seed should not be used in the night as it has the effect of keeping you energized and awake.
Moringa seeds should not be consumed on an empty stomach, by pregnant women, or after using alcohol or pepper. – Herbalist Nicholas Foo.
Mr. Foo related that, after completing studies in herbal medicine with a team of doctors from Peru and Argentina, he has been administering herbal medicine to residents of the Rupununi Savannahs for the past two years.
He claims that he has successfully treated some of the most life-threatening human ailments including cancer, diabetes, and HIV. Mr. Foo advises that while moringa seeds have been effective in treating the early stages of HIV infection, it is not effective in treating full blown AIDS.
Below is a transcript of the Interview with Mr. Nicholas Foo:
-So, Mr. Foo, today you’re going to tell us about the…morango?
Mr. Foo: Moringa
-How do you spell that?
Mr. Foo: M-O-R-I-N-G-A, Moringa…plant…seeds and the health benefits.
-You said you have been practicing herbal medicine for the last…how many years?
Mr. Foo: 2 years.
We have studied the moringa plant and the seeds and the benefits of it and we’d like to share it with other people so that they would know how to use moringa seeds and how to get by using moringa seeds. Moringa seeds are easy to identify. They come in a long pod. When it’s green, the pods are “finer” than the dry pod.
Morginga was originally from India. It cured the people in Africa…in Angola, in Zimbabwe, and those African countries when they suffered from malnutrition. Moringa seed was one of the things that they used to cure the people and to build their immune system and to bring them back to a healthy form.
Moringa seeds are used for many cases…for many sicknesses. For example, moringa seeds are good for diabetes, for kidney stones, gallstones, asthma, leukemia, cancer, HIV…. It is used for many things, even for pressure, pains, and malaria. The moringa tree is easy to identify. When you look at the tree, this is the leaf of the plant.
The moringa seeds are rich in Vitamins B, D, and A, calcium, protein, potassium nitrate, minerals, and lots of magnesium.
Moringa seeds are a natural energizer. On this note, it is good for athletes, especially footballers, as it provides energy.
Even the empty dry pods of the moringa can be used to make tea that can be consumed instead of the traditional green tea.
The seed is planted with the black shell, however, the shell has to be removed for it to be eaten. I’d advise people to use moringa seed and avoid an overdose of chemically laced drugs since the body was not designed to handle so much chemicals which can cause side effects.
Talking about cancer, diabetes, kidney stones, and gallstones, these can be treated with 13 packs – each pack being a seven-day treatment – 28 seeds in each pack – the dosage is 4 seeds per day – for a total of about 90 days’ treatment.
We don’t force people to buy moringa seeds. Instead, we encourage people to do their own research, for example, on the internet, on the merits of the moringa seeds. I’ve been doing this with Dr. Tara from Argentina and Tiffany from Peru. They were here in Guyana and they did a study on the moringa seed. And we’d like to share it with other people who don’t know.
The pharmacy may also be selling moringa seeds in the powdered form, and I’d like to advise you to make use of it because of its powerful healing properties.
