A video demonstrating how a “Roti Making Machine” simplifies the task of making roti has gone viral on Facebook. Everyone is asking, “where can I get one?”

Roti is a food product which was first introduced to Guyana by the East Indians. In India, roti is most commonly called “chapati.” Although roti is an East Indian tradition, it has been adopted and relished by all ethnic groups of Guyana. Guyanese love roti so much that you would often hear the expression “roti is life.”

Making roti requires one to press and roll kneaded flour with a rolling pin. In Guyanese dialect, this is called “baylaying” the roti, and the rolling pin is referred to as a “bellna.”

However, a recent viral video, posted by a Guyanese couple, demonstrated how roti can be made with a “roti making machine” – thus eliminating the “baylaying” process – and easing the task of making roti considerably.

So Where Can you Get the Roti Making Machine?
