The United States has deployed a rapid response force to the waters off the coast of Israel according to a defense official familiar with the planning. The force, consisting of 2,000 Marines and sailors, will join a growing number of US warships and forces converging on Israel as the US seeks to send a message of deterrence to Iran and prevent the war in Gaza from spilling over into a regional conflict. On 7th of October, 2023, terrorist group Hamas stormed Israel by land, air, and sea…killing over 1000 civilians and taking hundreds of hostage into Gaza. Israel responded by declaring war on Hamas the next day. To date, Israeli military response has killed nearly 3000 Palestinians.
This recent terrorist attack on Israel was obviously carefully planned over a protracted period of time. Hamas is being financed by Iran and possibly other Muslim countries. Iran had threatened in the past to blow Israel off the map.
The Israeli/Palestinian conflict dates back to 1947 when the Jews waged a war to reclaim what they deem ancestral lands.
