Security Guard charged for ‘Discharge of a Loaded Firearm with Intent’
Ted Edwards, a 23-year-old Security Guard from Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara, Guyana, South America, who was arrested on 15/04/2023 by a rank from the Golden Grove Police Station, was charged today (19/04/2023) for ‘Discharge of a Loaded Firearm with Intent’, Contrary to Section 55(a) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act Chapter 8:01.
The act was committed on a 10-year-old boy on 15/04/2023 at the Red Sun Chinese Supermarket at Grove Public Road, East Bank Demerara. The accused appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrates Court #2 today before Magistrate Judy Latchman where the charge was read to him.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison. The matter was adjourned to 10/05/2023 at 10:30hrs for statements
