During the life and teaching of Jesus, many Jews accepted Him as the promised Messiah and converted to Christianity, and after His death, many more. The Roman Empire, which crucified Jesus, also converted to Christianity forming the Roman Catholic Church.
On December 25 each year, Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Redeemer. Although there are arguments that the 25th of December may not be the correct birth date of Jesus, the date is symbolically accepted by Christians around the world.
While other religions, such as Hindus, Jews, and Muslims, do not consider Jesus the Messiah, they might nevertheless take part in Christmas festivities for cultural and friendly reasons.
The story of Santa Clause was made up by parents to entertain children who are not old enough to understand the concept of sin and redemption or who are not of the Christian faith.
