
The Guyana Rush Saints Football Club (male) of St. Ignatius Village, and the Paiwomak Warriors Football Club (female) of North Rupununi, Region 9 will be representing their region in the upcoming Heritage games to be held in Georgetown, Guyana.
The teams were selected to represent the region after emerging victorious in the Rupununi Football Association (RFA) tournament held earlier this year.

The Heritage games 2019, coordinated by the Ministry of Indigenous People’s Affairs, will be held this year between September 20 to 22 at the Everest Cricket Club Ground in Georgetown, Guyana, South America.
Like neighboring Brazil just across the border, Football is the predominant sport of the Rupununi Savannahs.
