
An early morning accident at Crabwood Creek, Upper Corentyne, Berbice, Guyana, South America has left three persons severely injured and hospitalized.
The accident reportedly occurred at daybreak of New Year’s Day: around 6 AM of January 1st, 2020.
The driver of the car, 22 years old Seeram Ramdatt, was said to be crossing the Blackwater Creek Bridge at a high speed when he lost control of the vehicle causing it to topple, skid and slam into a utility pole. As a result, the pole was downed and electrical wires were dangling on the ground.
The two passengers in the car, 32 years old Keron Phillips and 45 years old Ramnand Kishwar appeared to be more badly injured as they were in a semi-conscious state when they were rushed to the Skeldon hospital.
The driver, however, although injured, managed to summon the strength to get out of the car and flee the scene of the accident. However, he was later apprehended and taken the the Skeldon hospital where he was admitted in stable condition.
