A horrific video went viral on Facebook this evening, January, 23rd, 2020, showing a teenage girl being stabbed by a fellow student in a roadside brawl. The incident appears to have occurred in the town of Linden in Region 10, Guyana, South America in the afternoon after school hours.
The victim is a 15-years-old student of Linden Foundation Secondary in Region 10, Guyana, South America. She was stabbed with a hunting knife by a female student while she was in a scuffle with the sister of the suspect.
The video, which we will choose not to republish because of its disturbing content, shows the victim overpowering her opponent. It then shows the suspect approaching the victim and sticking the knife into her left side.
The child started screaming for help as she walked about with the knife still in her side. Someone could be heard shouting “you can’t pull it (the knife) out!” She was subsequently rushed to the Linden Hospital where she was admitted and is in critical condition.
Before the stabbing, the video showed schoolmates forming an audience by the roadside and cheering on the fight.
Sources close to those involved has informed this publication that the argument stemmed from one of the girls’ boyfriend cheating with the other. This led to remarks being thrown around and one accusing the other of being disrespectful. The fight that culminated on the afternoon of January 23rd, 2020 was said to have been brewing for some days, and it is for this reason that the young girl had armed herself with a hunting knife and prepared for the attack.
At the time of this article, (9:30 PM, January 23) the victim was said to be in critical condition. She is reported to have lost a kidney and suffered a ruptured lung.
