Concerned residents of Mon Repos on the East Coast of Demerara, Guyana, South America have written in to this publication to voice their concerns about a falling utility pole at the junction of South Market Road.
The residents claim that the pole has been in a collapsing state for the last three months and poses grave threat of damage to property and human lives.
One concerned resident said that he has, up to this time, made over 15 calls to the Guyana Power and Light Company to inform them of the situation. He said that they always promised to come but never did.
Guyana, South America calls on the relevant authorities and stakeholders to look into this matter urgently so to prevent destruction to property and human lives. Let’s not wait for something to happen.
