A Brazilian woman from the city of Boa Vista in Brazil has reached out to this publication in asking for help from the general Guyanese population in making contact with her father who had left Brazil for Guyana about 4 years ago.
According to the young woman, her father, whom she says is known as “Macushi,” has been working in a gold mining district in or around Baramita in the Northwest Region of Guyana – Region 1 for the last four years.
The woman, whose name is Keyssianne Castro, says that the last message she received from her father was on the 27th of March 2020 when he sent the photo posted above. Since then, she says she has not heard from him again.
Keyssianne related that she has reason to be worried since her father usually sends messages back home every week or every few days. For this reason, she is pleading with anyone who might have information about “Macushi” to make contact her via WhatsApp on +55 95-9-8103-1630 or +55 95-8103-1630
