National Votes Recount: Day 14: Record 77 Ballot Boxes Counted

With the addition of two more counting stations at the recount site: Arthur Chung Convention Center in Georgetown, Guyana, a total of 77 ballot boxes were completed today, 19th of May, 2020. So far, the PPP/C is in the lead, but there are still many more ballot boxes to be counted.

Once again, it was revealed that the APNU/AFC continue to entangle themselves in a web of deceit in their accusations of dead and migrated voters. For example, the APNU/AFC alleged that 24 dead and migrated persons voted at a particular polling station in Belladrum. It turned out that the PPP/C only received 3 votes for that polling station while the APNU/AFC received 250. The Citizenship Initiative (TCI) received two votes and A New and United Guyana (ANUG) received one vote. This would mean that the APNU/AFC got 18 of those alleged “dead and migrated” votes.

In addition to this, the Statements of Recount compared with the Statements of Poll and the March 4 declarations by Clairmont Mingo continue to prove that that returning officer did alter the figures in favor of the APNU/AFC.

Further, Mr. Freddie Kissoon published a satirical article ridiculing the idea that Russians and the US Company “Mercury” had rigged the elections in favor of the PPP/C. What’s more funny is that some people didn’t get the joke, and thought that Freddie Kissoon was “exposing” the PPP/C. In an even more preposterous video statement circulating yesterday, Minister Amna Ally said that in PPP/C strongholds, “dead people got up, voted and went back to rest.”
