Republic Bank Guyana Ltd has announced that it will resume normal banking hours starting from the 27th of July, 2020. This is applicable to all branches across Guyana except for the Lethem, Region 9 Branch.
The Statement from Republic Bank Reads:
Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited advises that effective Monday, July, 27, 2020, the banking hours of its branches with the exception of the Lethem Branch, will be as follows:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 2 PM
Friday: – 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Lethem Branch
Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Please be reminded of the following mandatory COVID-19 precautionary measures when visiting our branches:
A mask must be worn.
Customers must sanitize their hands upon entry.
Social distancing is in effect.

The bank had earlier this year scaled down working hours amidst growing fears of the coronavirus. In addition, chairs to accommodate customers were spaced far apart inside of the bank and reduced numbers of persons were allowed into the bank at a given time – leading to long lines building up outside of the bank.
