Simona Broomes Congratulates Newly Appointed Ministers

President Irfaan Ali on the 5th of August, 2020 appointed 19 Ministers for his cabinet. This move came just 3 days subsequent to his swearing in on the 2nd of August after the PPP/C was finally declared the winner of the March 2, 2020 elections in Guyana, South America.

Ms. Simona Broomes, a former government minister who had served under the previous APNU/AFC administration, has last evening, 5th of August, 2020 during a Facebook Live Video, sent a congratulatory message to the newly appointed ministers and wished them well.

I see today we have a cabinet and I want to congratulate all the ministers who were sworn in and charge you to serve Guyanese to the fullest. You took an oath to serve the people…so…

Ms. Broomes is currently embroiled in controversy after having been arrested along with her former bodyguard for assault and recklessly discharging a firearm respectively.

Last evening, Ms. Broomes went live on Facebook to explain developments to the same matter. She digressed for a few moments to congratulate the new PPP/C appointed cabinet.
