Three Killed in East Coast of Demerara Smash Up

Reports reaching this publication are that three persons have been killed in an accident along the East of Demerara, Region 4, Guyana, South America. The accident took place this afternoon, August 12, 2020 at around 6 PM in the vicinity of Happy Acres on the East Coast of Demerara.

According to information received, a white Toyota Premio bearing number plate PRR 2569 was traveling at a fast rate towards Georgetown when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle skidded across the median and slammed into a blue lorry which was going in the opposite direction. The lorry is thought to belong to a construction company.

As paramedics and police arrived on the scene, the three occupants of the motor car appear to have died following the head-on collision. One of those killed is suspected to be a pregnant woman.
