We need to realize that Covid -19 is not going anywhere anytime soon. We need to get use to this new lifestyle of protecting ourselves and those around us. I do not believe a lock down is going to make Mr.Covid disappear.
As an Entrepreneur & a business owner, I cannot sit back and chill anymore and wait for all this to be over. I have to stand up and get going, we all need to. As the government puts it, some of us (Businesses) are essential & some not. However, at the end of the day, we all need to survive. We all have bills to pay. We all have families that we need to take care of.
Like many of you, my business (Maya Fitness) is not considered essential, and all I can hear is officials talking about restrictions, fines and lockup. Nobody is talking about a stimulus efforts or a little handout for our people.
Please note that as we continue to battle this pandemic; it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle & exercise. Physical & outdoor activities of all forms are recommended. Our gyms & Fitness centers should be open for our people to boost their immune system.
During this uncertain time, so many of us are restricted in our movements. It is even more important for us to be as active as possible. It will help to relieve mental tension and improve blood circulation and muscle activity. Regular physical activity benefits both the body and mind. It can reduce high blood pressure, help manage weight and reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and various cancers. It also improves mental health and can reduce the risk of depression, cognitive decline and delay the onset of dementia – and improve overall feelings of well being.
Lawmakers please let’s restructure the way things are currently happening with all our people in mind.
Yours respectfully, Navin Hansraj
