A 78 years old woman of Mon Repos on the East Coast of Demerara, Guyana, South America, is now nursing wounds after she was brutally beaten and robbed at her home in a traumatizing nighttime robbery.

The incident took place around 10:30 PM last evening, 29th of August, 2020 at the home of Mrs. Budhnie, also called “Aunty Finey.” According to relatives, the old lady was sitting on her verandah when a car with three men pulled up. One of the men jumped out, scaled the fence and ran up to the woman sitting on the verandah. He began punching her and demanding she tell him where the money is.

Shortly after, the two other criminals exited the car and joined in the gruesome act. They carted away over 1 million dollars plus jewelry and a flat screen TV.

Residents of the area report that the criminals arrived in a black motor car with license plate PGG 5961. They have provided a CCTV footage captured by a neighbor’s surveillance camera which shows the car pulling off from the scene of the crime.

The residents nearby also said that they called the police but the police did not respond, and that they will be going to the station to file a report today, 30th of August.
