Hon. Persaud interacts with Bourda Market vendors
Bourda Market vendors in Region 4, Guyana, South America were pleasantly surprised by the appearance of Minister of Human Services and Social Security, Dr. Vindhya Persaud, who was there to purchase fruits yesterday, September 5, 2020.
During her interaction with the vendors, she was informed of the challenges they encountered which included road-side vending. Hon. Persaud assured the vendors she will raise their concerns with her colleague, who has ministerial oversight of the market.
One vendor commended the Minister for being “down to earth” since it has been years since “any Minister has taken the time to speak with us.”
Before departing, she encouraged the vendors to follow all COVID-19 protocols.
