Last updated: October 4, 2020 at 13:29 pmThe founder/President of the Humanitarian Mission Guyana Inc., Mr. Suresh Sugrim, is on an unstoppable mission to empower a young man who has overcome great obstacles in his early life to emerge triumphant in his CXC passes. Eighteen-years old Thavindra Balgobin grew up with a single mother after his father abandoned them. But that didn’t stop the youth from getting a sound education. With help and motivation from teachers and others and his and his own personal determination, Thavindra secured 9 CXC passes in Grades 1 to 3 in the recently concluded CXC exams.
The young man’s ambition is to pursue studies at the University of Guyana with the aim of becoming a teacher. On this note, Mr. Suresh Sugrim, founder of the Humanitarian Mission Guyana, has reached out to the youth and has taken the first steps in helping through its donors to set the young man on the path to achieving his dreams.
Mr. Sugrim has already laid the foundation for Thavindra’s tertiary education, but there is still a lot more to be done. On this note, the veteran philanthropist is reaching out to potential donors/ sponsors who would be willing to collaborate and share his dream in putting Thavindra on the path to further success.
