Young Woman Drowns in the Rupununi

The quiet town of Lethem in Region 9 has been plunged into a state of shock and mourning after a recreational swimming activity turned tragic today, 24th of January, 2021 at around 5:30 PM.

Reports are that Kimberlee Yow, who is in her early 20s, drowned while swimming with her friends at the Kumu Creek at Region 9, Guyana.

The body is at the Mortuary of the Lethem Regional Hospital awaiting postmortem examination.
