Pastor’s Son Leaves Satanic Message After Murdering Parents in Brazil

A tragic and gruesome incident which took place sometime around the early morning hours, before daybreak, of August 4, 2021, has sent shockwaves across the country of Brazil. The 22-year old son of a pastor killed both his mother and father then committed suicide. The police are treating the matter as a murder/suicide. The tragedy took place in the city of Vila Velha, in Grande Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil.

According to reports, the young man, Guilherme Heringer Cesar, used a knife to stab his mother in the neck while she was sleeping in her room. His father, who was sleeping in a separate room, was awoken by the noise and apparently tried to escape into the bathroom. However, the youth caught up with him and dealt him several stabs, killing him. Police say there was evidence of a struggle between the two.

After committing the murder, the young man texted a relative to say that he had “done something stupid.” He subsequently walked to a nearby bridge and threw himself over, committing suicide at around 4 AM on the same morning, Wednesday, 4th of August.

Satanic Messages and Symbols

On a surface was also painted in red the words, “Festejai ó céus, o diabo desceu até vós, pouco tempo lhes resta,” which, when translated, means, “Rejoice heavens…the devil has gone down to you (earth)…he has little time left.” The words appear to have been quoted from parts of Revelations 12:12 of the bible.

Therefore rejoice, you heavens
    and you who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea,
    because the devil has gone down to you!
He is filled with fury,
    because he knows that his time is short.”

Police also found beer bottles and a pack of cigarettes, inverted crosses, and other symbols which are believed to be satanic in nature on the walls. Guilherme used red paint to create these symbols and numbers, and it was evident that some amount of premeditation and preparation for this act took place. Since they were devout Christians, Guilherme’s parents would not allow such symbols in the house, so it appears that the young man spent a considerable amount of time creating these symbols after his parents went to sleep and before killing.

Coincidence or a Warning from the Supernatural?

What’s interesting is the fact that the youth wrote the words “ele me obrigou” which means “he made me do it” across the page of bible which contains Revelations Chapter 12. Revelations Chapter 12 speaks of the devil being thrown out of heaven and coming to wreak destruction on earth. This caused a lot of people to wonder whether it was just a coincidence, whether the youth was of unsound mind, or whether the devil really was sending a message to mankind through this event.

Revelations 12 (NIV)

12 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. ² She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. ³ Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. ⁴ Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. ⁵ She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.”^[a] And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. ⁶ The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.

⁷ Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. ⁸ But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. ⁹ The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

¹⁰ Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:

“Now have come the salvation and the power
    and the kingdom of our God,
    and the authority of his Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
    who accuses them before our God day and night,
    has been hurled down.
¹¹ They triumphed over him
    by the blood of the Lamb
    and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
    as to shrink from death.
¹² Therefore rejoice, you heavens
    and you who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea,
    because the devil has gone down to you!

    because he knows that his time is short.”

¹³ When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. ¹⁴ The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach. ¹⁵ Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. ¹⁶ But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. ¹⁷ Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.

No One Saw it Coming

Guilherme’s father was a pastor and also a doctor. He worked as a urologist in the field of medicine. He was 68 years, and his wife was 61 years old.

Persons close to the family said that the boy grew up in church. They also said that they saw no signs of something like this coming. Guilherme was a 22 years medical student in the second year of med school, and those who knew him said he had a passion for medicine.

Speculations

It is unlikely that a 22 year old man who is a regular church goer and who is in the second year of med school would be so versed in satanic symbols. The number of the beast would be common knowledge to him since it is taught in church. But not everyone has knowledge of the pentagram and the inverted cross. One would be tempted to believe, after studying this story, that either the young man had been meddling in satanic circles for some time prior to the event, or that he was possessed by the devil on the night of the event.

If he had been involved in the occult prior to this, then there would likely have been signs that his parents would have noticed. But according to people close to the family, nothing seemed unusual. Many Christians therefore, might be tempted to believe that a warning was sent to mankind through this act – and that the events related in Revelations 12 have started to play out already.

Police took the knife used in the murder as well as Guilherme’s computer for further investigation.
