Unknown Young Woman Seen Wandering Along the Lethem-Linden Trail

Several travelers reported seeing an unknown young woman wandering along the Lethem -Linden Trail close to Region 9. The observers suspect she may be suffering from mental health issues and may be in need of help. The name of the young woman is not known as she hardly engages in conversations or accepts help.

One resident of Region 9 reported that she saw the young woman near Santa Fe Ranch at around 9 PM one night walking in the direction of Lethem. She saw her again yesterday (31st of October) heading north. “I offered her some water and talk to her. All she told me was, she is from Yakarinta,” said the Lethem resident who had seen the young woman in question wandering along the trail.

Another Lethem resident said he also saw the young woman wandering around the same location and attempted to talk to her, but she didn’t answer.

Team Guyana, South America calls on the Child Care Protection Agency, the Ministry of Amerindian Affairs, and all relevant authorities who are a position to assist to step in and render the care and attention needed to put this young woman back on the path to a normal life.
