Hon. Lenox Shuman, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and Presidential Candidate of the Liberty and Justice Party, has volunteered to transport the body of Dian Mandokin back to her hometown of Lethem, Region 9, Guyana, South America. Mr. Shuman will assist the family by using his land cruiser vehicle to transport Dian’s body to Lethem. He will be driving it himself. Two other vehicles are expected to transport family and friends of the deceased along the 500 + km journey from Georgetown to Lethem.

In an adjustment to a previously announced schedule, Dian’s body will leave Georgetown for Lethem on the afternoon of Thursday, 18th of November, 2021, and not Wednesday as was previously announced. This is due to a one-day delay in the Port Mortem examination.

Viewing will take place at Ezekial Funeral Home at North East Best Village, West Coast Demerara from 2:30 to 3:PM today, Thursday, 18th of November, 2021.

The procession, which includes Mr. Lenox Shuman, will leave Georgetown around 4 PM today, Thursday, 18th of November, and is expected to arrive in Lethem sometime on Friday, 19th of November, 2021.

Upon arrival in Lethem, the body will be available for viewing for one hour in Tabatinga, Lethem, Region 9. After one hour viewing at Tabatinga, the body will move to Moco Moco Village for viewing at the home of the brother of the deceased, Elvis Mandokin. After that, the funeral procession will move to the church, and finally to the burial ground in Moco Moco Village.

Dian Mandokin leaves behind two young girls under the age of 5 years who will now be in the care of her mother, Adeline Mandokin.

For more information on the procession and timings, or if you would like to offer financial or emotional support to the family of Dian Mandokin, which would be welcomed at this time, please contact her mother, Adeline Mandokin, on (592) 682-6635 (WhatsApp available).

Editor’s Note: We received the following feedback from Mr. Lenox Shuman:

Hello, I appreciate your acknowledgement; however, it was my intent to keep my support quiet. My support to her family comes from my heart as I know of the difficulty the family faces. Would you be so kind to adjust your article in kind. Thank you.
