The remote, indigenous village of Karasabai in the South Pakaraimas District of Guyana, South America has made history by rolling out its first batch of students to sit the CXC Exams in the village of Karasabai.

Up to last year, children of Karasabai Village needed to attend St. Ignatius Secondary School or another Secondary/High school to be able write the CXC exams. However, this year, due to upgrades by the Department of Education, Region 9, the Karasabai Secondary Department has been able to accommodate students to write the CXC exams right in the village of Karasabai for the first time in history.
