Recent photos taken by a charitable organization during a Christmas outreach have shed light on the compromised and impoverished conditions that a community of Venezuelan remigrants are forced to live in after fleeing the economic crisis in Venezuela. The community of Venezuelans which comprise of children, adults, and the elderly, is located at the Sea Dam Area on the East Coast of Demerara, Guyana, South America.

Extremely happy we were able to distribute sodas & toys for the Christmas to the Venezuelan children of this very impoverished sea dam area on the East Coast of Demerara. These people are mostly the children, grandchildren & great grandchildren of our Guyanese people who migrated to Venezuela many years ago in search of a better life. Now their offspring are living here in refugee conditions.

Team Guyana, South America calls on all generous Guyanese persons, organizations, and the Guyana Government to take steps to improve the living conditions of these Guyanese/Venezuela refugees.
