Last updated: January 30, 2022 at 23:25 pm30-year old former Miss USA, Cheslie Kryst, has sent shockwaves around the world after jumping to her death from a Manhattan apartment building. Cheslie, who lived on the 9th floor, was last seen on the 29th floor of the 60-story building. Her body was discovered this morning, Sunday, 30th of January, 2022, at around 7:15 A.M.
Cheslie left a suicide note indicating that she would like all her belongings to go to her mother after her death, but she left no clue as to why she chose to kill herself. Shortly before taking the plunge, the young woman posted on her Instagram Page: “May this day bring you rest and peace.”
A former Division 1 athlete and North Carolina Attorney, Cheslie Kryst won the Miss USA pageant in May, 2019. She was also a host for the television entertainment show “Extra.”
“Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined. Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether through her work as an attorney fighting for social justice, as Miss USA and as a host on EXTRA. But most importantly, as a daughter, sister, friend, mentor and colleague – we know her impact will live on,” her family said.
