US President, Joe Biden, has announced that he will make an emergency trip to Guyana during the first week of April, 2022. He is expected to meet with President Irfaan Ali to discuss a number of bilateral agreements. Among the things to be discussed is the possibility of Guyana supplying European countries with oil in light of Russian sanctions. The US President reportedly called Ali this morning to inform him of the visit.
