The Rupununi Rodeo Pageant, held on the Friday of the Easter Weekend, adds flavor to the Rodeo Celebrations. This year, six Rupununi beauties will compete for the Miss Rupununi Rodeo 2022 Crown.
Up to the last Rupununi Rodeo Celebrations in 2019, the pageant had been hosted by the Takutu Hotel in Region 9, and was called the “The Takutu Hotel Annual Rupununi Rodeo Pageant.” It was conveniently held on the lawns of the Takutu Hotel in Region 9, Guyana, South America – away from the Rodeo Ground. However, the manager of the Takutu Hotel, Ms. Morsha Johnson, explained to this publication that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Takutu Hotel will not be hosting the Rodeo Pageant this year.
As of 2019, the Takutu Hotel had hosted a total of 16 Annual Miss Rupununi Rodeo Pageants. However, this year, the pageant seems to have been rebranded as the Royal Rupununi Rodeo Pageant and will be held at the Triple R Rodeo Ground. The date and time remain the same: Friday evening of the Easter Weekend. This year, the pageant has been advertised as the “First Ever Royal Rodeo Pageant,” which will be coordinated and hosted for the first time by the Rupununi Rodeo Committee.
