Anisa Miguel to be Laid to Rest on Saturday

Following the completion of the Post Mortem examination, the body of the teenaged mom who died by drowning in Region 7 will be transported to her hometown of St. Ignatius Village in Region 9 for funeral services. Presently, the body is being prepared by the funeral parlor for transportation to Lethem via bus through the Lethem-Linden Trail.

Regional Executive Officer of Region 9, Karl Singh, has notified the family that his office will cover all expenses for the transportation of the body from Georgetown to Lethem via bus.

The body is expected to leave tomorrow afternoon, Friday, 1st of July, 2022, and arrive in Lethem on Saturday, 2nd of July, 2022 for funeral services and entombment. There will be a short funeral service at the home of Anisa’s aunt, Waveney Miguel, in St. Ignatius Village, thence to the Roman Catholic Church for service, and then to the St. Ignatius burial ground for entombment. There will also be a memorial service held for Anisa on Saturday night at the home of her aunt, Waveney Miguel, in St. Ignatius Village, Region 9.
