Peter would like to thank everyone who shared the story and made efforts to help him find Fazeena. However, the story is not the fairytale romance many people were expecting. Peter explains that he was not searching for Fazeena because he was still in love with her. In fact, he had moved on with his life. He was searching for her because her sudden disappearance haunted him. He wanted closure in knowing what became of her.
A Venezuelan woman now living in Switzerland, Carolina, who also speaks English, read the story. And being tech savvy, she started to help by posting photos and information in Facebook groups in the Island of Margarita. About 4 persons subsequently came forward with information and photos all matching Fazeena.
It turns out that Fazeena is currently living in very dire conditions in Venezuela, and needs help to return to Guyana. Peter is presently traveling to Venezuela, and hopes to meet her. Peter indicated that he may help her with the airfare in returning Fazeena to Guyana.
Carolina is also very moved by the story, and more so Fazeena’s current situation. She expressed to this publication that she would like to set up a gofundme fundraiser to help Fazeena resettle in Guyana.
In our next article, we’ll publish current photos of Fazeena’s if she gives permission, and update our readers on the efforts and plans that are being made to return her to Guyana.
