Last updated: July 5, 2022 at 15:21 pmA Guyanese resident has taken to social media to voice her dissatisfaction over the state of a roadway at Amelia’s Ward, Linden, Region 10, Guyana, South America. According to the resident, the road is in such bad condition that a taxi cannot traverse it, putting residents in much inconvenience. There is also a broken pipeline pouring water onto the sand road and she alleges that GWI has ignored her reports about it.
The road is Murray Lane in Amelia Ward, Linden (pictures below). The resident is calling on the Ministry of Public Infrastructure to pave the road as early as possible so as to relieve the plight of the residents. The resident made the following post on Social Media today:
Good morning Guyana, Now this is a situation that I would like the Minister of Public Infrastructure, and the regional body to look into. It’s been over 6 months since a number of complaints were made with regards to the deplorable state of roads in Amelia’s ward. I even called GWI in Linden to report a broken line. Persons living in this area are forced to walk around many times since taxis and other vehicles cannot pass these holes. Mr. REGIONAL CHAIRMAN. MR. REO, and all the other political reps that only comes around election time, please address this issue asap. This is my first and last public calling. Location : Murray Lane Amelia’s Ward.
Team Guyana, South America joins the call for the relevant authorities to look into this matter and bring relief to the affected residents by paving the road.
