Grade 6 Boy Survives Snake Bite, Discharges in Time to Write NGSA

A grade 6 boy has survived a snake bite, healed, and came out of the hospital in time to write his National Grade Six Assessment Exams. The Ministry of Education made special adjustments to cater for him.

Minister of Education, Hon. Priya Manickchand, made the following statement on Facebook today:

This little boy was bitten by a snake and admitted to hospital. He wanted to write his NGSA, was cleared by doctors and has finished his English. What commitment and perseverance looks like. ?

The Minister of Education stopped short of identifying the child, and blurred out his face to protect his identity.

Indeed, the story of the little boy who survived a snake bite and came out of the hospital in time to write his exams has inspired many!
