There’s never been a better time to start building your new home in Guyana, South America. The government of Guyana is giving Guyanese added incentive to start building a new house with massive subsidies on construction material. His Excellency, Dr. Irfaan Ali, announced today, 22nd of July, 2022, that his government will support new home projects by providing free steel and some of the cement needed for the job.
Here are the details:
For homes that cost GY$6 million or less, the government will provide the steel needed to construct the home as well as one sling of cement.
For homes that cost GY6 million to GY$25 million, the government will provide the steel along with two slings of cement.
These concessions, along with the existing financing support from local banks, are expected to make construction of new homes much cheaper in Guyana, and will definitely stimulate the country’s economy.
We trust many Guyanese will scramble this great opportunity to build news homes at a much cheaper cost than usual, making Guyana a more beautiful place – one home at a time.
