Thorough Investigation Into Death of Emmanuel Sealey Needed

In the midst of the ongoing Selfie Boss saga and whether he’s innocent or not, we need to keep one point in focus: the death of a young man under questionable circumstances. We must not forget that this is a precious human life, the loss of which must be justified at all cost if possible.

Sealey’s aunt told the media this week that a police report was filed in relation to the allegations of sexual violation. However, the police have said that no such report was made. Instead of visiting the police, the aunt had complained to a popular city businessman and philanthropist, Azzrudin Mohamed, about the alleged rape of her nephew.

If indeed Emmanuel Sealey was violated in the way that the aunt described, then there should be some medical records to confirm this as it is likely that medical attention would have been needed after such an incident. These medical records, if they exist, must be brought to the public domain so as to facilate a proper probe into the circumstances of Sealey’s death. Sealey reportedly also confided in two social media workers. The voices of these social media workers must be extracted and published in the public domain.

A thorough investigation into the circumstances of the loss of such young and precious life is warranted at all cost. There must be no coverups and no sweeping the matter under the carpet.
