Men Busted After Giving False Information to Police
Both men were interviewed by ranks of the Grove Police station and CID during which it was suspected their report was false in nature. As a result, a search was carried out on their respective haversacks and during so, the aforementioned items which they claimed they were robbed of were found therein.
They were both told of the offence committed, cautioned, arrested and placed into custody, and items lodged.
Bartica Man Accused of Raping Underaged Girl
Yusuf Hinds, aged 26 years, of Bartica who is accused of raping an underaged girl between the 1st and 27th of October, 2022, was yesterday charged and placed before the court to answer to the charge. The accused on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 appeared at the Bartica Magistrate Court where the charge was read to him.
Body of Man who Drowned in Orinduik Falls Recovered
The body of 43-year-old Gladstone Haynes, a Guyanese born police officer attached to the NYPD in USA, and whose local address is given as Lot 164 Fourth Street Alexander Village, Georgetown, Guyana, South America, was recovered at 06:30 hrs this morning at the Orinduik Falls in the North Pakaraimas, Region 8. Haynes reportedly drowned on October 30th, 2022 at about 15:00hrs at Orinduik Falls.
President Bolsonaro Calls for Peace
In the first public demonstration since the end of the elections, President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) expressed thanks to his supporters for the 58 million votes received on Sunday and said that the reaction of supporters who have blocked highways across the country since Sunday, are “the result of indignation and a feeling of injustice of how the last elections took place.” He, however, condemned the acts, saying that the protests cannot follow the methods of the left.
