New Market Constructed for Mon Repos – East Coast Demerara

To improve the infrastructure of the country, improve the lives of the citizens, and further beautify Guyana, the Guyana government has constructed a bigger, better market facility for the residents of Mon Repos. See photos below.

Mon Repos market vendors will begin moving into the newly constructed market from Monday. Additional works to the new structure will be carried out over the course of the month.

Minister of Local Government and Regional Development Nigel Dharamlall made the disclosure as he engaged vendors earlier today, 3rd of November, 2022. He is hopeful that remaining works will be completed by the end of this month.

Minister Dharamlall also addressed some of the concerns of the vendors including the opening hours for the market on Saturdays.
