Region 4 Student Reportedly Suffers Concussion After Being Pushed into Concrete Wall

A young girl child of Golden Grove Secondary School, Region 4, Guyana, South America, has suffered a concussion to her head with the risk of internal bleeding after being pushed into a concrete wall by a fellow student. The family of the child are outraged at the manner in which the principal and teachers allegedly overlooked the wounded child, and allowed her to suffer silently for several hours. The family is calling on the Ministry of Education to probe the matter with the objective of putting better systems in place to protect students from these types of situations in the hopes that no other student suffers a similar fate.

Guyanese Artist Unveils Stunning Portrait of First Lady Adorned with Gold and Precious Stones (Redirected)

Guyana’s First Lady, Arya Ali, was yesterday presented with a portrait of herself created by Guyanese artist, Compton Babb. The announcement was made by the First Lady via her Facebook Page. Mrs. Ali called the portrait “a captivating and truly amazing piece of artistic work.” And she referred to the artist, Compton Babb, as “one of our finest creatives.”

AFC Says Goodbye to APNU

Some supporters of the APNU/AFC coalition have been throwing around a tagline that “the coalition will be back.” It’s more like the coalition will be at the back of the junkyard broken beyond repair. Leader of the Alliance for Change political party – which comprises a major part of the said political coalition, has announced that the party will be saying goodbye to its APNU partnership when the Cummingsburg Accord expires at the end of this year (December, 31st, 2022).

Shuman Throws Support Behind Jagdeo in Light of Recent Controversy

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Mr Lennox Shuman, in a letter to the Editor yesterday, 21st of June, 2022, threw full support behind Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo after allegations leveled by Vice News that he was heavily involved in corrupt practices. “…the same humble young man that I once knew, has become a brilliant tactician in a country that otherwise would have been relegated to a dictatorship had it not been for his efforts.”

Jagdeo Says that Vice News Videoed Him Without His Knowledge or Consent

Vice President, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, said today that Vice News has reputational issues globally, and suggested that they are eager to produce sensationalized content which appeals to a US audience such as showing corrupt third world leaders and portraying China’s dominance of of the world. He posited that the publication is profit driven because they have to produce what sells. Further, the Vice President said he doesn’t blame Vice News for carrying out the undercover operation which failed to link him to corruption.

Sting Operation Fails to Incriminate Jagdeo

It is not clear who or which entity is the mastermind of the recent sting operation meant to sink Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo and portray him as a corrupt politician. Leader of the sting operation, and documentary producer on alleged government corruption in Guyana, Isobel Yeung, works for HBO, Showtime, and Vice News. However, the sting operation was unsuccessful as it did not produce enough incriminating evidence against the Vice President – even though the actors attempted to elicit it.

MV Ma Lisha is 2 Times Longer and Will Travel Two Times Faster than Existing Ferry – Government

A ferry which was commissioned by the Guyana Government on the 13th of January, 2021 was completed and launched to sea yesterday, Wednesday, 15th of June, 2022. The 70-meter long ship was constructed in India by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers. A government spokesperson said that the ship will travel at a speed of 15 knots which is estimated to be twice as fast as the current Northwest Ferries. The current Northwest Ferries plying the Northwest-Georgetown route takes 24 hours per trip.

Aubrey Norton Says that President Ali Had Physical Contact with Him Without His Consent

Leader of the opposition APNU/AFC, Aubrey Norton, today seemed irate when he appeared in a live Facebook broadcast and said that the president bullied him into shaking his hands. Norton alleged that he was “in his corner” when the president showed up “with a set of cameras” and attempted to shake his hand. He said he refused, but President Ali bullied him into a handshake – an act which seems to have caused Norton some amount of emotional distress.
