Last updated: November 30, 2020 at 16:36 pmWhen BabySkello first started singing, everyone started laughing, but as the saying goes, “he who laughs last, laughs longest.” And by this adage, it seems that the now famous Babyskello will be laughing all the way to the hall of fame.
The comments on Facebook under Babyskello’s first few videos were not that warm, friendly or encouraging. But there was one man who gave the fledging artist his complete and unwavering support: and that is no other Babyskello’s dad. Yes, that’s right. The father at times joined in the singing using makeshift equipment – who laughs, laughs.
In fact, one time, Babyskello’s dad came on air to “diss” anyone who disses Babyskello. He said, “who are you to diss Babyskello? You need to be flushed down the toilet.”? Indeed, Babyskello’s dad is an example of how a parent should support, encourage and believe in a child.
On the 16th of August, 2020, Babyskello launched his first hit song “Top Gallis” that clocked 158,000 YouTube hits and counting. Many of those who were laughing quickly turned silent and stood in awe as the hits climbed upward. But it didn’t stop there. No, Babyskello wasn’t contented to be a one-hit wonder. In 18th of November, 2020, he released his second hit, “Red Woman” which to date has clocked 65,000 views on YouTube alone.
Now who’s laughing? All of those former critics are quickly turning into fans. Babyskello is now like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode into national success. Right now, everyone is holding their breaths wondering what surprise the great Babyskello has in store and when he will drop the next big hit.
The story of Babyskello may teach us a few valuable life lessons:
- The power of perseverance and self-confidence.
- A steller example of a what a father-son relationship should be like.
- And the power of doing what you love.
Doubtless, Babyskello is on his way to the top and will make his mark in the local music industry as one Guyana’s most famous singers.
