Here is a beautiful photo of “scenes along the trail” taken in July 2016.
The Lethem – Georgetown Trail, also popularly called the “Lethem – Linden Trail” is a 300 miles (approximately) trail cut mostly through the Amazon Rain Forest from Lethem to Linden in Guyana, South America.
At present (2019), there are various ongoing negotiations to make the trail into a paved road.
The Brazilian government has expressed strong interest in paving the road in exchange for the use of Port Georgetown for shipping products overseas.
