Lethem was declared a town in the year 2016 by the David Granger-led APNU/AFC Coalition government – about one year after taking office. This photo shows a part of the main commercial highway in Lethem – which is called “Barrack Retreat.” It stretches for about 2 miles from the Lethem Power Company junction to the roundabout at the other end. Lethem is located in Region 9 of Guyana, South America.
