The Rupununi Savannahs of Guyana, South America is an ecotourist’s paradise. Located between the Rupununi River and the borders with Venezuela and Brazil, the vast territory encompasses 5000 square miles. About 80 percent of mammals and 60 percent of bird life of the Guyana’s tropical rainforests and savannahs are found in the Rupununi. The photo above was taken in Surama Village around June 2014.
