The Rupununi Savannahs is located in the Upper Takutu – Upper Essequibo region of Guyana, South America. The vast territory of pristine rainforests, swamplands and mountains is about 5000 square miles in area. The majestic Kanuku Mountains divide the North Rupununi from the South Rupununi. The scene above is of the Lethem – Linden trail about 20 miles from Lethem.
