The Kurupurari Crossing, also referred to as the Kurupurari River Crossing, is located about three hours drive from Lethem along the Lethem to Linden Trail in Region 8, Guyana, South America.
The Kurupurari Crossing refers to the location in the village of Kurupurari where the Essequibo River cuts across the trail.
Note that the name of the river is the Essequibo and not Kurupurari river as the terminology sometimes mislead people into thinking.
There is a Pontoon which ferries people across the Essequibo River at the village of Kurupurari every hour.
The locality where the Essequibo River cuts the trail at Kurupurari village together with the Pontoon which ferries people across are collectively referred to as the Kurupurari Crossing.
