Kitty Roundabout – Georgetown

The Kitty Roundabout is located at the junction of Vlissengen Road and Carifesta Avenue in Kitty, Georgetown – Guyana, South America. It is located just a few meters away from the Kitty Seawall and Atlantic Ocean.

The Kitty Roundabout was officially opened by the Ministry of Public Infrastructure on the 4th of June 2018. It serves to regulate and direct the flow of traffic in that vicinity.

The project was completed by the Ministry of Public Infrastructure to the tune of 79 million Guyana dollars.

The Takutu River separates Guyana from Brazil at Lethem, Region 9, Guyana, South America. The Takutu River Bridge is an intelligently designed architectural marvel which connects the two countries. This is the view when you’re coming over the Takutu River Bridge from Brazil to Guyana.

The Demerara Harbour Bridge

The Demerara Harbour Bridge is an 1851 meters long floating bridge which was commissioned on the 2nd of July 1978. The bridge spans a 4-mile gap between the East Bank and the West Bank of the Demerara River. As you can see in the picture above, there is a pedestrian lane in addition to the vehicular lane. The Demerara Harbour Bridge can be found on the East Bank at Peter’s Hall – about 4 miles from Georgetown, Guyana, South America. It crosses over to the village of Schoon Ord on the West Bank of the Demerara River.

Demerara Harbour Bridge Road – East Bank

It’s a cloudy day with lots of overcast! This is the road leading to the Demerara Harbour Bridge. The Demerara Harbour Bridge is a floating bridge with a total length of 1851 meters.

The bridge connects the East Bank of the Demerara River to the West Bank and also provides an access point for residents of West Coast Demerara, Guyana, South America. Commuters use the Demerara Harbour Bridge everyday to travel to Georgetown and back.

The Takutu River Bridge – Guyana – Brazil Border

The Takutu River separates Guyana from Brazil towards Guyana’s southern border, but the Takutu River Bridge connects the two countries. The photo above shows a view of the bridge going into Brazil.

The Takutu River bridge crosses over the Takutu River which separates Guyana from Brazil to the South of Guyana.

The Takutu River Bridge connects the two countries and provides easy access for citizens commuting daily or coming for tourism purposes. In addition, hundreds of Brazilians cross the bridge every day to purchase cheap Chinese merchandise from the Chinese stores in Lethem. That is because there are very few Chinese businesses in Brazil since Brazil makes it difficult for Chinese to import products into Brazil from China.

Takutu River Bridge – Guyana’s Border – Brazil

The Takutu River Bridge is a classic architectural marvel which crosses over the Takutu River at Guyana’s Southern border with Brazil.

The bridge pays homage to the difference in driving rules of the two countries. Brazilians drive on the right hand side but Guyanese drive on the left. Just follow the arrows when crossing the bridge and you will change lanes automatically.

The bridge was completed by the Brazilian Government in the year 2008.

The beautiful and magnificent Demerara River separates the West Bank from the East Bank and Region 3 from Region in Guyana, South America, and the Demerara Harbour Bridge – a man-made structure, connects them.
