The beautiful town of Bartica is located in Region 7 of Guyana, South America. The town’s economy is powered to a large extend by gold mining activities in the interior where many of the residents go to set up businesses and find employment.

Bartica, located in the county of Essequibo, Guyana, South America, is considered to be one the gateways to Guyana’s interior. Located at the confluence of the Cuyuni and Mazuruni Rivers with the Essequibo River, the town of Bartica provides many opportunities for boating and sightseeing.

The Bartica Stelling is a boarding and disembarkation point for passengers coming to Bartica from Parika and other parts of Guyana. Both speedboats and the big steamer transport passengers to and from the Bartica Stelling.

Bartica is a Guyanese town located on the left bank of Essequibo River at the confluence of the Cuyuni and Mazaruni Rivers with the Essequibo River. It is known for its beautiful beaches, speedboat adventures and surrounding Island Resorts.

The Guyanese town of Bartica is located on the left bank of the Essequibo Rirver in Cuyuni-Mazaruni (Region 7), Guyana, South America. The town is located at the confluence of the Cuyuni and Mazaruni Rivers with the Essequibo River.

If you take a speedboat and drive out into the rivers, you will see the visible difference in colors of water where the Cuyuni/Mazaruni/Essequibo rivers run side by side for several miles.

Dubbed the “gateway to the interior” the town is a launching point for people who mine gold and diamonds in interior locations.
