The Moruca River winds its way out to the Atlantic Ocean in Region 9, Guyana, South America. A stretch of the river is so meandering that it is called “99 turns.” I’m not sure if the number of turns is exactly 99, but there are many!

The people of Region 1 regularly use speedboats to traverse the waters of the Moruca River in the business and daily life. In this video, a daring youth skids the water of the Moruca River with a boat full of passengers.

When I first posted this video on Facebook, it got hundreds of thousands of views in a matter of hours. Feel free to share this article!
