The village of Hampshire, on the Corentyne coast of Berbice, Guyana, South America is bordered by the village of Belvedere to the West, the village of Williamsburg to the east, the Atlantic Ocean to the north, and the sugar cane fields to the south.
On the 21st of July, 2015, I went for a drive from Lethem to a North Rupununi village called Kaicumbay. Kaicumbay is reached by first driving about 100 km north of Lethem (towards Georgetown) and then making a 45-minute detour east – towards the Kanuku Mountain Range.
