Last updated: December 8, 2022 at 14:38 pmRegion 8 is one of Guyana’s ten Administrative Regions. It is also called the Potaro-Siparuni Region. Region 8 borders Region 7 to the north, Regions 10 and 6 to the east, Region 9 to the South, and Brazil to the west.
Noteable communities in Region 8 include Campbelltown, Orinduik, Mahdia, Paramakatoi, and Tumatumari. Region 8 is home to approximately 20,000 people most of whom are of indigenous descent.
The world renowned Kaieteur Falls and the Amalia Falls are located in Region 8 of Guyana, South America.
