Fire at Girls’ Dorm at Mahdia Kills 19 Students
A deadly fire ravaged the girls’ dormitory at Mahdia Secondary School in the town of Mahdia, Region 8, Guyana, South America leaving 20 dead and many more injured. According to the Department of Public Information, the fire started around 11:40 PM on Sunday, 21st of May, 2023. It is not clear at this time what caused the fire.
