Corona Falls is one of the lesser known and explored, yet magnificent, beautiful and splendid, waterfalls of Guyana. It is located at the headwaters of the Rewa River in the North Rupununi.
This publication was made aware of the Corona Falls through a Facebook post by local tour guide and nature enthusiast, Helen Lawrence. Speaking to this publication, Helen explained that the Corona Falls, as breathtaking and magnificent as it may be, is relatively unknown due to its remoteness and other factors. The falls can be reached by boat from Rewa Village, or by hours-long trekking which she says is only for the super-adventurous. It is also possible to reach the falls by aircraft, but that is a less common and more unlikely method of going there.
